Banners celebrating the current and past veterans of your home town.
The Chippewa County Community Foundation and the Youth Advisory Council are proud to present the History of Hometown Heroes, an Armed Forces veteran banner project to honor and commemorate the brave service of our local heroes past and present. The banners will be displayed throughout our community from Memorial Day until after Veterans’ Day for three years. Space is limited, so selection of veterans as well as banner placement will be on a strictly first- come, first-served basis. Please review the requirements and submit your completed application by March 1.
Requirements Honoree must be Active Duty in a branch of the United States Armed Forces OR a veteran of the United States Armed Forces AND honorably discharged, or died in the line of duty.
Honoree must have a connection to Chippewa County.
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Only fully completed applications will be processed and MUST include.
Fully completed application A copy of the Honoree’s DD214, or equivalent proof of service. Military ID for Active Duty of the Honoree IN UNIFORM . For living Honorees, a photo release must be signed. Payment of $200.00
